This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop is a custom build completed by Pagano Rod & Custom of Rancho Cordova, California, circa 2024. The modified body is finished in metallic gray and fitted to an Art Morrison chassis with adjustable coilovers, power rack-and-pinion steering, Wilwood disc brakes, and a four-link rear setup. The 427ci LS-style V8 is equipped with a Whipple supercharger and intercooler, and it is linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch-style limited-slip rear end. Further details include matte-finish Buick Riviera-style bumpers, flush-fit door handles, Billet Specialties 19″ front and 20″ rear wheels, exhaust headers, and a customized engine bay. Inside, red and gray leather covers the front buckets, individual rear seats, dashboard, and panels, and air conditioning, a custom console, power windows, and an Alpine touchscreen receiver with a rearview camera display were specified during the build. Acquired by the current owner in 2020, this modified Bel Air is now offered for sale with a clean California title.

The top was chopped and sectioned, Nomad-style rear quarter panels were installed, custom C-pillars were fitted, and the Riviera-style bumpers received a matte finish during the build. The body is painted metallic gray, and further styling details include a matte-finish hood ornament and side mirrors, body-color taillight surrounds, flush-fit door handles, and power-operated quarter vent windows.

The Art Morrison chassis is outfitted with adjustable Strange Engineering coilovers at all four corners, while tubular control arms and rack-and-pinion power steering are fitted up front. The four-link rear setup has adjustable shock mounts and polished trailing arms, and polyurethane suspension bushings are noted in the photo gallery.

Billet Specialties 19″ front and 20″ rear wheels have gray centers and polished barrels, and they are mounted with 235/40 Michelin Sport Cup 2 front tires and 335/30 Pirelli P Zero rubber out back. The four-wheel disc brake setup features a Wilwood master cylinder and six-piston front calipers along with slotted/drilled rotors and braided stainless-steel hoses. The rear wheelwells were tubbed to accommodate the wheel and tire package.

The custom front buckets and split rear seats are trimmed in red and gray leather with microsuede accents, and they are joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and full-length center console with cupholders for the front and rear occupants. A gray microsuede headliner has been installed, and further appointments include power windows, air conditioning, push-button start, a rearview camera display, Wilwood pedals, billet door handles, and an Alpine touchscreen infotainment system. The trunk has been reupholstered to match the cabin, and sound-deadening material was installed during the build.

The Billet Specialties flat-bottom steering wheel wears a color-keyed red cover and sits on a tilting column. White-dial instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges mounted in the center of the dashboard. The odometer shows 44 miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The engine is a 427ci LS-style V8 that utilizes a Dart block, electronic fuel injection, and a Whipple supercharger and intercooler setup, according to the seller, who notes that it was installed in 2024. It is also equipped with a serpentine accessory drive system, an Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator, four-into-one headers, and a Moroso oil pan.

The firewall has been modified and refinished to match the body color, the radiator support trim panel has a recess for the intake tube, fabricated fluid reservoirs have been installed, and hood hinges with dampers were specified during the build.

The four-speed 4L65E automatic transmission is linked with an Art Morrison 9-inch-style rear end with 35-spline Strange Engineering axles and a limited-slip differential. The frame was powder-coated silver during the build, and it features an integrated driveshaft safety loop and pass-throughs for the exhaust pipes.
